       When you get into clinical years we've found that the most useful books you can have on you are the two oxford handbooks! (clinical medicine and the specialties handbook). They are small enough to cram into a pocket, detailed enough so you can sound like you know what your talking about and have lots of pretty pictures too! If you go to their website they also hold monthly competitions for handbooks, and have lots of other interesting things for you to check out! Click on the banner to have a look!

 

    So summer has been and gone, hundreds of new medical students have gone to university, hundreds of medical students have moved into hospitals and hundreds of doctors have qualified who used www.almostadoctor.com to revise for finals! We’re going into our third year and are determined to get bigger, better and help as many of you as possible pass whatever exams you may have coming up.          The journal Surgery has announced the launch of the 2011 Surgery Journal Prize and invites papers on the topic of 'The impact of subspecialisation on training and the provision of emergency surgical services'.

 

          Changes are coming! Under guidance from the ISFP, how we apply for foundation posts is going to change radically in a couple of years (nationally for those applying in 2013).
